Im workin' on it...I think I might lay up to 10K on this. I'm working my sabermetrics here to figure out whhy the hell they put the Twinks at such a low number...the new turf stadium can't be a -9 effect overall can it? The pitching can only be better then last year and the offense now has a SS, 2b and set trio of outfielders w/ a better/ stronger bench. I don't get it..plus mauer isnt missing the first 30 games this year.

Where are you getting those odds from? Twins are o/u 84.5 on bodog and around 84-85 at canbet, bet365, etc.

Never been a fan of season betting honestly, the longer the timespan of the event the more difficult it is to make an accurate assessment. Plus with the Twins you'd be betting 10k on Mauer and / or Morneau not missing significant time basically. Somewhat risky given the position Mauer plays and the injury history of Morneau.

The big thing I see with them is their starting pitching. And are you referring to J.J. Hardy at SS? Everything I've looked up about this guy says he sucks. Maybe he's just young? Even still >82 seems pretty simple for them.

Jeid...Mauer and Mornue missed over 60 games COMBINED last year (no Mauer till mid May and no Morneusie Sept/ OCT).

The line was 82 on Tuesday on the GoldSheet.

Hardy is still better then fucking Punto and O-Doggs is going to be better then Cabrerra. Harris/ Buschner at third will be better then Crede and anyone backing up Mauer will be better then fucking Mike Redmon. Go Go Gomez is gone (thank god) so Span will get 550 at bats and so will Delmon Young...if he stinks it up, Kubal in left and Thome full time DH...this is a money bet I beleive. The only thing I'm looking at is the numbers on grass versus turf w/ the new stadium.

The pitching can only be better then last year w/ Baker starting out 0-6, Slowey DL, perkins DL, Liriano n/a and Blackey OK. Now we add Pavano and perhaps Duensing.

Ha favorites in who's eyes? The Cards are far and away the favs in that division. No other team is very close at all.

You'd have to think the Cubs could put together 85-90 wins, which is what the Cards will do. I'm not so sure the Puljois and Holliday are going to make a whole season there. In the east I love Philly, ATL and FLA again with the Mets dropping to damn near .500.

Anyone have any steam on the Rangers...another team in the low 80's for over/under and I look at them and think close to 90 wins this year.

Rangers shipped Millwood away who was a horse in that heat for them. i'd say 80 wins at best for Texas.

If you can't get on base at a good rate you damn well better be a good fielder and he does neither. Maybe injuries hurt their pitching last year but WHIP for their starters from last season is just plain average. Average starters normally means average team.
