A 3 and out and a returned punt to around midfield puts the Oilers back in business. McNair goes for it on 4th and short and fakes the scamper and catches baxter guessing and go to the man baxter was covering and its 10-0 Oilers.

S.D has some time before the half to do something, but the defense steps up again and gets picked off by Eugene Robinson. TD/McNair get the Oilers downfield and in fg range again. Halftime Oilers up 13-0.

S.D. stops the Oilers on downs deep in Charger territory on the first drive of the 2nd half. Eddie George takes the Chargers on his back and gets his team into field goal range, with it still a game the Chargers call out the Kicker and he boots it through. 13-3 Oilers.

Oilers are forced to punt and the Chargers have 1 quarter to work to get back in it. Some nice passes by Green and some nice runs by George, but in the end, a 3rd George fumble seals the Chargers fate.
